JUMEL ALIMENTARIA S.A is a Spanish family owned company located in L’Alqueria de la Comtessa (Valencia) with more than 16,000 square feet of facilities. Starting its activities in 1979 under the name of Mermeladas y Dulces S.A., the firm was founded by Mr. Federico Frasquet Martínez, who had an extensive experience in the Food sector. Currently it is managed by his sons.
Producing jams and sauces during all those years helped us understand and meet customers’ needs within the Hospitality, Industrial and Retail sectors. Present in the daily life of many homes and businesses, our products can be found today in many countries inside and outside the European Union.

We work all our products under the stricter production and hygiene rules in line with the quality criterias established in our certifications.
In 1998 the British Retail Consortium (BRC) developed and introduced the BRC Food Technical Standard to be used to evaluate manufacturers of food products. It turned it into the Global Standard upon which many companies have based their supplier assessment programs.
The associated members of the German retail federation – Hauptverband des Deutschen Einzelhandels (HDE) – and of its French counterpart – Fédération des Entreprises du Commerce et de la Distribution (FCD) – drew up a quality and food safety standard for retailer branded food products, named the IFS Food, which is intended to allow the assessment of suppliers’ food safety and quality systems, in accordance with a uniform approach. This Standard applies to all the post-farm gate stages of food processing. Today IFS Standards are the common internationally accepted audit standards to ensure that certified companies can deliver products which are in line with the defined specifications of their customers, in order to improve continuously safety and quality of products for the consumers.
The Research and Development of new products plays a key role in JUMEL ALIMENTARIA’s philosophy. A team of professionals works constantly in the design of tailored products so as to meet specific customer’s needs, which involves the search of new technologies, processes, trends, as well as monitoring the Regulations related to our products. We work on national scale with Technical Universities, Technological Research Centers and foreign private companies always looking for technological innovation projects.
Our bet on R&D is evident and our R&D Department is the place where ideas are crystallized and turn into solutions for our customers.
